Nuclear Communication Training

U.S. WIN Communications Committee member and University of Nevada, Las Vegas Student Chapter President, Hannah Patenaude, works in collaboration with the Idaho National Laboratory and Public Communication Initiative at UNLV to create a resource for nuclear experts to enhance their communication skills (staring with INL employees). The content includes a general overview of ethical persuasion and formal argumentation in science communication, their role in nuclear research and development, communicating about controversies and risk, and quantitatively evaluating your own interpersonal communication skills. Although the certificate is still under construction, the UNLV PCI is open for collaboration opportunities to implement the training wherever it may be helpful.
