Detailed Description and Instructions:

This is a 35 second video showing Department of Energy impact testing for the qualification of nuclear fuel shipment containers.  The video shows a train locomotive crashing into a shipment container on an 18-wheeler trailer parked on train tracks, showing that shipping containers can withstand the impact and protect the fuel inside.

I like to incorporate this video into my presentations because it is an easy way to help keep your audience engaged, and it also is a demonstration of the industry’s dedication to safety and robust designs. Therefore, I recommend placing it at the middle of your presentation to wake everyone up!

You will need a computer, internet availability (if performed at work, verify in advance that work will allow you to access this video on YouTube), and a projector if it is for a large group. Speakers are optional, and very little of the video has sound.
