The application period for the 2026 U.S. Women in Nuclear NEXT UP is open until May 22, 2026. Fill out and submit the application form.

It is with great honor that we announce the fourth consecutive year of the U.S. Women in Nuclear NEXT UP program, an extension of our Nuclear Executives of Tomorrow initiative. The NEXT UP program is inclusive of both women and men, expanding the reach and impact of this program.

 

The nuclear industry is a reflection of our diverse membership – women and men whose passion and mission drive innovation, construction, and operations. It is time to reform, retool, and repurpose this program to better align with the professional and social environment in which we now operate.

 

Nominations are open April 27 – May 22.

 

NEXT UP is an offering with broader reach serving motivated individuals who are in front-line and mid-level management positions with potential to progress into more senior roles within the industry.  This program offers a diverse development cohort-based community which includes advanced studies to foster self-awareness, self-confidence and self-value. This program is intended to create the pipeline for the NEXT program and offers an immersive series of workshops targeting leader self-development while also increasing knowledge and skills of the business and industry needs and creating a sustainable professional network with integrated mentoring support from industry leaders and NEXT Alumni.  The FAQ provides more fulsome details of the program.

 

Each year the NEXT UP program supports ~45 front-line and mid-level leaders in accomplishing their development goals and progression toward future senior leadership roles.
