It’s time for your U.S. WIN chapter to plan activities for Nuclear Science Week! Nuclear Science Week is an international, broadly observed week-long celebration to focus on local, regional, and international interest in all aspects of nuclear science. Chapters should plan activities to educate the public on 5 pillars of nuclear science: Carbon-Free Energy, Global Leadership, Transformative Healthcare, Innovation & Technology, and Space Exploration.
The U.S. WIN Communications Committee sponsors a contest between U.S. WIN chapters to encourage outreach activities during the annual Nuclear Science Week (NSW). The Chapters are judged on the number of activities held during NSW, the number of participating U.S. WIN members, the number of individuals and public sectors (K-12, civic, government, etc.) reached, and the range of topics covered.
