On January 15, 2026, U.S. Women in Nuclear members came together for a powerful webinar on Storytelling 101. The session highlighted that the most effective stories are those that engage both the head and the heart—combining facts with emotion to create a lasting impact. Research shows stories are remembered 22 times more than facts alone, making storytelling one of the most persuasive tools for advocacy and connection.
The training emphasized four key elements for crafting your narrative:
- Challenge: What obstacle or situation did you face?
- Choice: What decision did you make?
- Outcome: What happened as a result?
- Ask: What action do you want others to take?
Adding details and emotions—what you saw, felt, and experienced—brings your story to life. Whether you’re advocating for inclusion, advancing nuclear technology, or sharing how you made a difference, your voice can inspire change.
