2021 Most Reactive Chapter Contest Winner Announced

Congratulations to the University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign chapter for winning the 2021 U.S. WIN Most Reactive Chapter Award! This is the first student chapter to win this award. The U.S. WIN Communications Committee would like to commend them for their creativity and high membership participation in 2021 Nuclear Science Week (from 75% to 100% in various outreach activities).

In 2021, eight chapters entered submissions to the contest: DC WIN, Duke Energy, Entergy, Constellation-Kennett Square, Purdue University, Savannah River Site, University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign, and Westinghouse-Pittsburgh. Through their efforts, over 4000 individuals experienced various nuclear science topics via discussions, presentations, virtual platforms, and on-campus outreach booths. The events focused on reaching students of all ages. Given the number of applications and the breadth of the activities, we would also like to recognize the runner up Constellation-Kennett Square and in 3rd place Savannah River Site. Great job to everyone who participated!

The Most Reactive Chapter Contest is sponsored by the Communications Committee to celebrate the outreach efforts of U.S. WIN chapters during Nuclear Science Week. To see previous winners or to find more information about the contest, please visit the Most Reactive Chapter Contest page.
