Why did you choose the nuclear field or how did you end up in the nuclear field?

I ended up in the nuclear field through placement by an agency. But I was drawn in by the culture, mission, vision, and core values of the organization, and it has been incredibly rewarding; I just celebrated 15 years at INPO!

What advice do you have for women in the nuclear field?

Don’t get discouraged if you feel you are not moving at the speed you desire in your career. Seek information on why you may not be where you should be in your career and work on developing the knowledge or skills needed. And seek out a mentor for guidance, insights, etc. The sky’s the limit!

What is your favorite aspect of U.S. WIN?

Through U.S. WIN, I love networking with women in the nuclear field across the country — making new friends and building relationships that can be trusted resources in times of need.
