NEXT•UP: Extending Access to Leadership in Nuclear

Fall 2023

After five successful years of the Nuclear Executives of Tomorrow (NEXT) leadership program, U.S. Women in Nuclear and the Nuclear Energy Institute have expanded access to this resource. In the summer of 2023 NEXT•UP launched as a pilot program that incorporates alumni from the original NEXT program as mentors throughout the year. Like the original NEXT program, the women in NEXT•UP attend virtual and in-person sessions where they discuss how they can build a foundation for their personal and professional growth. They uncover the difficulties of moving up the executive ladder in the nuclear industry and how to use community and individual strengths to overcome the challenges.
