Celebrating Growth and New Beginnings: GROW Graduation and Kickoff 2025

On October 8, 2025, the U.S. WIN GROW Mentoring Program celebrated a milestone moment with its annual Graduation and Kickoff event, themed “Maximizing Your Impact” (M.Y. Impact). This virtual gathering celebrated the achievements of the 2024–2025 cohort and welcomed the incoming 2025–2026 participants. The event was a vibrant showcase of mentorship, leadership, and community impact.

The GROW program—conceived in 2019—continues to serve as a cornerstone for personal and professional development across the nuclear industry. It is designed to complement a company’s existing programs and emphasizes structured growth, monthly engagement, and a shared learning environment.

The ceremony began with a heartfelt safety moment led by Shanteka Glover, followed by greetings from Rebecca Salvadore and Summer Sims, who reflected on the accomplishments of the graduating cohort and the program’s broader impact. Testimonials from past participants—including Elizabeth Williford, Lucia Harvey, Marilyn Moore, and Naquisha Causey—offered powerful insights into the transformative nature of the GROW experience.

The charge to the participants, by Carol Barajas of the GROW Oversight Board, inspired both graduates and newcomers to embrace their roles as mentors and mentees with intention and enthusiasm, reinforcing they are “Never Alone”.

Julie McDonald, Chair of the GROW Program, presented the GROW Program Overview, highlighting its evolution since inception in 2019 and its continued commitment to personal and professional development. The session concluded with remarks from Denise Ingoe, GROW Oversight, who shared key dates and reminders for the year ahead.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the GROW committee for their dedication and work in successfully matching 51 mentor-mentee pairs this year. We also thank the committee for developing and implementing this year’s event. Their thoughtful planning and creative energy made the graduation and kickoff not only possible—but truly memorable. Your efforts continue to shape a culture of growth, connection, and excellence across our community.
