2026 U.S. WIN National Conference
From August 2-5, more than 1,000 attendees from across the nuclear community came together in Seattle, WA, for the 2026 U.S. Women in Nuclear (U.S. WIN) National Conference. Under the theme “Powering Progress: Turning Energy into Action,” this year’s conference brought together professionals, students, and industry leaders for several days of learning, connection, and conversations about the present and future of the nuclear energy and technology industry.
The theme felt especially timely. With growing interest in nuclear energy and an industry preparing for significant growth, the conference focused not only on where nuclear is headed, but on the people and actions needed to help get us there. Throughout the conference, speakers and panelists explored current issues shaping the industry, including licensing and regulatory reform, next-generation nuclear fuel, workforce development, inclusion, and leadership. The sessions brought together different perspectives from across the nuclear community and encouraged attendees to think about how each of these areas will contribute to the industry’s next chapter.

But some of the most valuable moments happened outside of the traditional conference sessions:
Programs such as Growth, Relationships, and Opportunities through U.S. WIN (GROW) Speed Mentoring created opportunities for attendees to connect across companies, roles, and career levels, while Community Conversations provided a more personal setting to exchange experiences and perspectives. Professional development programming also encouraged participants to better understand their individual strengths and how they can use them to make a greater impact.
The conference also continued to invest in the next generation of the nuclear workforce. Students studying nuclear energy, science, technology, policy, radiation-related fields, and other disciplines participated alongside industry professionals, giving them an opportunity to experience the broader nuclear community and begin building relationships early in their careers.

As the nuclear industry enters an exciting period of growth and change, U.S. WIN members have an opportunity to help shape what comes next through leadership, mentorship, advocacy, professional development, and continued engagement with one another.
Thank you to the speakers, panelists, sponsors, volunteers, organizers, and more than 1,000 attendees who made the 2026 U.S. WIN National Conference possible, and to our host sponsor, Energy Northwest, for welcoming the U.S. WIN community to Seattle. We left Seattle with new ideas, new connections, and plenty of energy. Now comes the most important part: turning that energy into action. And the momentum continues! The 2027 U.S. WIN National Conference will take place July 12–15, 2027, in Baltimore, Maryland, and will be hosted by Constellation.
We look forward to coming together again to learn, connect, and continue moving our industry forward.
See you in Baltimore!
