Volunteer with one of the U.S. WIN Committees or Programs today!

The U.S. WIN Committees are an integral part of the U.S. WIN organization, planning webinars, coordinating communications, reviewing metrics, and deciding on award winners. They do important work for the organization, but they need your help! Each committee is comprised of volunteers, and we need more volunteers. The U.S. WIN Committees are:

  • Awards & Recognition: This committee is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Chapter recognition program and other means to recognize U.S. WIN member contributions to the their organization and the nuclear industry. Some of the Awards & Recognition Committee responsibilities include evaluating the U.S. WIN Leadership Award and determining the recipients of Chapter Awards at the U.S. WIN National Conference.
  • Communications Committee: This committee is focused on the development and implementation of communication strategies and programs for U.S. WIN that align with the U.S. WIN strategic objectives. Some of the Communications Committee responsibilities include publication of The Winning Edge Newsletter, maintaining the Outreach Library, and managing U.S. WIN social media accounts.
  • Conference Committee: This committee is involved in the planning, logistics, developing the agenda, finding great speakers and facilitators as well as sets the conference theme. The Steering Committee is intimately involved with the Conference Committee and oversees the work done. The Nuclear Energy Institute provides significant support in securing the location, contracting with vendors and the hotels needed. Registration for the annual conference is done on the NEI website.
  • Metrics Committee: This committee is focused on collecting and reporting, at the national level, the contributions that U.S. WIN chapters bring to their organizations and communities. Additionally, the Metrics Committee reviews and compiles the chapter metrics submitted on a quarterly basis and works in tandem with the Awards Committee to determine the recipients of the chapter awards given at the annual U.S. WIN national conference.
  • Professional Development Committee: This committee is focused on developing and implementing professional development (PD) opportunities for U.S. WIN members that align with U.S. WIN’s overall strategic objectives.  The PD Committee is comprised of members from all U.S. WIN Regions who are passionate about professional development and inspired to provide PD opportunities to fellow U.S. WIN members.

In addition to these committees, U.S. WIN has different programs to support our strategic objectives. These programs are:

  • GROW Mentorship Program: This program provides knowledge and tools for mentees and mentors to successfully leverage relationships that foster career and personal growth for individuals in the nuclear energy and technology fields. Develop solid relationships, interpersonal skills, and business knowledge to drive organizational effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Members-At-Large Group: This group promotes the inclusion of members-at-large with the larger U.S. WIN organization, and works to increase communications and involvement opportunities for members that do not belong to a local chapter.
